The city was founded in the middle of the tenth century. and was a center of craftsmanship, commerce and culture. Burana Minaret (the name comes from the Turkic "Munar" – "minaret") is one of the oldest structures of this kind in Central Asia, built in the XI century, originally had a height of 45 m. Gorge of Chon-Kemin is one of the most picturesque places on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, representing a unique natural complex, which includes a gorge, a valley and the Chon-Kemin river flowing through the valley. Day 2 | Cholpon-Ata | Chon-Kemin - Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul) (135km / 3h) Breakfast. Exemption from the guest house. Meet your guide for moving to Cholpon-Ata. Upon arrival in the city. Excursion to the museum of Petroglyphs and the cultural complex Ruh Ordo. Ruh Ordo is an ethno-religious complex on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, in the city of Cholpan-Ata. The complex is named after one of the most famous Kyrgyz in the world - Chingiz Torekulovik Aitmatov. On the territory of the complex, 5 chapels were built in honor of 4 main religious denominations: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, while Christianity is represented by two chapels, one consecrated in honor of Orthodoxy, the other Catholicism. Also on the territory of the complex is a memorial house of Chingiz Aitmatov and sculptures dedicated to his works, two exhibition halls with ethnic symbols of nomadic peoples, a photo gallery with a portrait and concert hall. Here is the scene that ends with an open view of the Issyk-Kul. Petroglyphs. Ancient rock inscriptions and drawings belonging to the Neolithic era were found in many places in the Chui valley: near Tokmok, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, in Naryn and Talas oblasts, as well as near Cholpon-Ata, more than 10,000 stones with inscriptions on the site of the ancient temple of worshipers of the sun. Lunch (extra charge). After lunch, drive to Semenov Gorge. Semenov Gorge - it is named so in honor of one of the first researchers of these places - a Russian scientist - geographer who studied Tien Shan, P. P.
