Tyurabek Khanim is a real historical figure, a Mongol princess, the beloved daughter of the ruler of the Golden Horde, Uzbek Khan, and the spouse of his governor in Khorezm, Kutlug-Timur. Tyrabek-Khanym was the patroness of women. Over time, she was canonized and declared holy. The name Tyrabek-Khanym has always been surrounded by numerous romantic legends.
The Tyurabek-Khanym mausoleum (XII-XIV centuries) has truly become the most magnificent structure in the entire state. An amazingly beautiful and graceful building with the richest interior and exterior finishes, with a surprisingly open light hexagon of about one hundred square meters, decorated with carved mosaics. Crowned all this magnificence with a huge dome of the mausoleum. It was, perhaps, the most perfect dome in the entire Central Asian Turan. On top of it is covered with tiles - the tradition of very few buildings of the time.
