Suzdal

One of the oldest Russian cities in Suzdal can rightly be called a city-Museum. Despite the fact that the population of Suzdal is very small, its "architectural" population is truly impressive – more than three hundred monuments are located on 15 square kilometers.

The streets of Suzdal are along the Kamenka river. The exterior of most one-storey houses harmoniously intertwined in the unique style of the city-a combination of wood and white walls of the monasteries have long been the hallmark of Suzdal.

Kremlin Suzdal

The oldest part of the city is the Kremlin, where the Museum exhibits are located – the cross chamber, where the metropolitans met honored guests, its interiors reproduce the life of the former owners, as well as the local icon – painting workshop and historical exhibitions.

Another attraction of the city – the current virgin-Christmas Cathedral with its unique Golden gate, created by ancient technology using mercury. The Cathedral is interesting for its collection of arts and crafts and painting (XIII-XVIII centuries), as well as the famous bowl of the XIX century. the shape resembles a samovar, from which the parishioners gain Holy water.

Spaso-Evfimiev conventAmong the convents of the city is amazing Spaso-Evfimiev, 10-meter wall which stretches for more than a kilometer. In the ensemble of the monastery includes the refectory Church, the prison of the castle, the house of the Archimandrite, as well as herb garden and a huge garden.
