Day 2 | Moscow | Breakfast. 08.45 – Meeting with guide at the Lobby. 09.00 – Transfer to Kremlin. 10.00 – Visiting Kremlin, Cathedral and Red Square. Kremlin Cathedral Square is a breath taking architectural ensemble of the 15th – 17th centuries, where the life of Russian grand princes and tsars started and ended; the Annunciation Cathedral where they were baptized/Christianize, the Assumption Cathedral where they were crowned and the Archangel Michael Cathedral where they were buried. Tsar’s bell and Tsar Cannon are stunning examples of casting of the 16th – 18th centuries. The square also consists of the Grand Kremlin Palace, political and governmental buildings of the Kremlin, the Senate, the Palace of Congresses, the Kremlin walls and towers. Kremlin - a beautiful fortress in the heart of the city full of history and legends. It used to be a residence of Russian tsars and communist leaders and now it's a working place of the president of Russia. 12.00-13.30 – Visiting Armory Museum. 13.45 – Walking tour by Red Square Tour: Red Square, enjoy a unique architectural ensemble of the 4th largest square in the world: Aleksandrovsky Garden, the Cathedrals of St. Basil and Our Lady of Kazan (outside), the biggest History Museum of Russia, Lenin’s tomb (outsude), the Trading Arcades of GUM (State Universal Store), Nikolskaya Street Walking tour. 14.45 – Transfer to lunch (Indian restaurant). 15.40-16.30 – Lunch. 16.45 – Starting our sightseeing by capital of Russia – Moscow. Lenin Hill look out, Poklonnaya Hill, Moscow University buildings, Christ the Savior, Bolshoi Theatre. Our final destination is Arbat Street – The most touristic street of Moscow is where you meet your shopping requirements, in addition to some great photo opportunities. 19.00 – Transfer to hotel. Day 3 | Moscow | 08.45 – Meeting with your guide at lobby. 09.00 – Transfer to Museum of Cosmonautics. 10.30- 12.00 – Visiting Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. It is located within the base of the Monument to the Conquerors of Space in the north-east of the city. The museum contains a wide variety of Soviet and Russian space-related exhibits and models which explore the history of flight; astronomy; space exploration; space technology; and space in the arts. According to the Russian tourist board, the museum& collection holds approximately 85,000 different items and receives approximately 300,000 visitors yearly. 12.15 – We will go to look the national Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKH). 12.30-13.30 – Walking tour. 14.00 – We will go to the lunch (PM). 14.30-15.30 – Time for lunch. 16.00 – Back to hotel. Day 4 | Moscow | 09.30 – Meeting with guide at lobby. 09.45 – Transfer to Tsaritsyno. 10.45-12.30 – Visiting park and Palace. Tsaritsyno is usually associated with the name of Empress Catherine II. Indeed, in 1775 she bought these lands in order to build a palace here and set up magical gardens. Tsaritsyno is a monument of the so-called "Russian Gothic" (pseudo-Gothic); over the course of 20 years, two most famous architects of their era – Vasily Bazhenov and Matvey Kazakov worked on the creation of the imperial residence. The basis of the estate is the Grand Tsaritsyno Palace. It consists of two massive wings connected by a gallery. One wing was supposed to belong to Catherine II, and the second to her son, Tsarevich Pavel. Tsaritsyno is the largest pseudo-Gothic building of the 18th century in Europe and the only palace complex designed in this style. 13.00 – Transfer to Lunch. 14.00-15.00 – Lunch. 15.30 – Transfer to hotel. Day 5 | Moscow | Breakfast. 08.30 – Meeting with guide. 08.45 – Trasfer to Arhangelskoe. 10.00 – Visit estate Arhangelskoe. Manor Arkhangelskoye is known from written sources since the time of Ivan the Terrible. For three centuries, its owners were the princes Odoevsky, Golitsyn, Yusupov. At the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries. an architectural and park ensemble in the style of classicism arose. Arkhangelskoye remained the only integral architectural ensemble in the Moscow Region that retained all the basic elements of planning and development. Despite the uniqueness of artistic techniques, it concentrates in itself the best that was created in Russian manor art of the 18th-19th centuries. 12.30 – Transfer to lunch. 13.30-14.30 Lunch. |
Day 6 | Zaraisk | You will travel 150 km from the capital to a secluded corner of the Moscow region – Zaraysk, a small provincial Russian city with ancient wooden houses in its very center. It was founded almost 900 years ago and to this day has preserved its rich history. The city is picturesquely located on the high bank of the Sturgeon River – the right tributary of the Oka. First of all, the glorious Zaraysk is famous for the ancient Kremlin, founded in the 16th century and preserved since then in almost unchanged form. This stone fortress with powerful walls and seven towers was built by decree of Grand Duke Vasily III. The smallest among all the Moscow Kremlin, Zaraisky is rightfully considered one of the outstanding pearls of medieval architecture. You will see its main attractions - St. Nicholas and John the Baptist Cathedrals, the ancient Annunciation, Ilyinsky and Kazan churches. During the tour you will be told about the history of the city, its legends, architecture and ancient shrines. The Zaraisk Kremlin today is a museum of the same name. Famous art and archaeological collections are represented here. Museums store a rich collection of objects of decorative art and a unique collection of paintings by Russian and Western European artists: Ivan Shishkin, Lev Bakst, Vasily Sokolov, Adrian Manglar and many others. Lunch in the city cafe or the refectory of the Kremlin. Transfer to a small town on the banks of the Oka Ozery. Accommodation at the Ozyory Hotel. Dinner. |
Day 7 | Kolomna | Breakfast in the hotel restaurant, check out. 08.00 – Meeting with your guide. 08.30 – You will start the program of the second day with a visit to the Ozersky Souvenir branded chocolate shop. You will be offered high-quality confectionery - sweets and other sweets. Producers are especially proud of dried fruits and nuts coated with chocolate. Then the transfer to Kolomna. It is one of the oldest cities in Russia, whose history is closely connected with the main stages of the country's history. This medieval center of the Moscow principality in the XIV – XV centuries. It was born on the picturesque bank of the Moskva River at the confluence of the Kolomenka River and for a long time was the second most important city after the capital.Traveling through this ancient Russian land, you will get acquainted with the unique architectural monument that has survived to this day – the Kolomna Kremlin. This is one of the largest and most powerful fortresses of its time, not inferior to the Moscow Kremlin either in size or in defensive qualities. Such a powerful stone defense was built in 1525-1531 in Kolomna, at that time an important strategic point, for the defense of the southern borders of the Moscow principality in the struggle against the Kazan and Crimean khanates. You will see two preserved parts of the fortress wall and seven towers of the Kremlin. On its territory there are almost all the main attractions of Kolomna - located in the center of Cathedral Square with the Assumption Cathedral, as well as a monastery and numerous museums, estates and churches. Lunch in the city cafe. A pleasant end to our trip will be an excursion to the pastila museum factory with a theatrical performance and tea drinking. Then transfer to Moscow. Overnight. |
