This old manor, located on the outskirts of Moscow, was the residence of Russian princes and kings. In the XVI century Kolomenskoye was the favorite country estate of the Grand Duke Vasily III, and then his son – Ivan the Terrible.
The oldest building in the estate is the unique Church of the Ascension, built in 1532, and the Church of the Beheading of John the Forerunner of the XVI century became the prototype of St. Basil's Cathedral on Red Square.
The tour also introduces the territory of the Gosudarev court of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Visitors will learn about the monuments of architecture of the XVII-XIX centuries.
