Kazan is a huge city with a long history. Needless to say, there are many architectural values, museums and simply beautiful places. Undoubtedly, one of the most famous place in Kazan is the Kremlin – a UNESCO world heritage site, which tourists from all over the world come to visit.
The History of the Kazan Kremlin
Since ancient times there was a process of settlement of the Kremlin hill. Settled settlements, including ancient Kazan, appeared here in the IX-X centuries. Developing as a military-trade settlement, the modern capital of Tatarstan needed strengthening - so there was the Kremlin, which in the XII century became a stone Outpost.
Whatever the era, whatever the century, this building has always been allocated a special, Central from a military and administrative point of view place in the city. 
Since 1992 to the present day, the Kazan Kremlin is the state center of the Republic of Tatarstan and the official residence of the President, nevertheless considered an architectural monument and open to tourists.
Architecture
The entire Kazan Kremlin is divided into architectural complexes, which can be found in more detail on its territory.
